Experience:Since starting at Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, L.L.P. in 1996, David has been representing clients in commercial disputes and matters pertaining to technology and intellectual property. He has litigated and tried cases in state and federal courts, as well as before government agencies and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the Patent and Trademark Office. He also handles all manners of business transactions involving software, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and technology. He has handled and is responsible for the prosecution and maintenance of over trademark and copyright registrations, both within the United States and internationally. David has been certified as a \"Specialist\" in Trademark Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization since the inaugural class of this legal specialty (2013).
