About David Levin

I\'m David Levin, a science writer, producer, and multimedia storyteller. I translate complex research for a lay audience, and do it with style. In the course of my work, I’ve interviewed Nobel laureates, flown in homemade aircraft, chased tornadoes through the midwest, and spent a month at sea with scientists studying exotic life on the ocean floor. Before going freelance, I worked as as a web producer at NOVA, the PBS science series, where I created and hosted the show’s award-winning audio podcast. Along the way, I’ve earned awards and fellowships from the Marine Biological Laboratory, the Acoustical Society of America, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Forge ongoing relationships with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students to enable a \"research beat\" of sources across the university, generating relevant and timely stories in the process.
