Starting in September of 2006 I became qualified as a Drug Recognition Expert, expanding knowledge in impaired driving, more specifically impairment involving pharmaceutical drugs as well as illegal street drugs. In 2008 I became a Drug Recognition Expert Instructor and assisted in educating and building future Drug Recognition Experts. In 2018 I started serving as the Drug Recognition Expert State Coordinator, also know as the Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) Program.
