I spend a lot of my time helping people who feel stuck, professionally, or mentally, find a way forward through, skill-building, and accountability. Through mentorship, I work with individuals from nontraditional backgrounds who are trying to break into tech and cybersecurity without shortcuts or false promises.My own path into tech wasn’t clean or linear. I started by learning how software is built, frontends, backends, databases, because I needed to understand how systems actually work before I could understand how they fail. That foundation shaped how I think: line by line, layer by layer.I’ve worked across startups, freelanced through uncertainty, and taken whatever was necessary to keep moving forward. Pressure forced discipline. Instability forced adaptability. Over time, building systems naturally turned into breaking them.Today, that perspective shows up in my work as a penetration tester, approaching security from a real-world, adversarial mindset rooted in how applications and networks are actually constructed. The role is important, but it’s not the point.
