Transitioned to an in-house security function with a focus on operational oversight, vulnerability management, and cross-domain security support (IT & OT). This role moves beyond reactive triage to focus on the management of external detection capabilities and the driving of internal security uplift.Key Responsibilities: MDR & Vendor Governance: Overseeing the performance of the Managed Detection and Response provider to ensure effective monitoring and alert quality without performing Tier 1 triage. Vulnerability Management: Managing the identification and remediation lifecycle. This involves validating scan results and coordinating with infrastructure teams to resolve security tickets. OT Security Operations: Contributing to the security operations capability within the Operational Technology (OT) environment and supporting the integration of OT monitoring. Security Engineering & Projects: Running Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new security tooling and providing security advisory input into IT projects. Risk & Remediation: acting as the bridge between technical findings and business remediation to improve the organisation\'s overall security posture.
