Experience
Senior Project Engineer
Apr 2019 — Present · Houston, TX, US
Performed offshore project engineering for installation of many types of subsea structures (mudmats, bridges, crossings, ILS, pipelay, and trees) from a variety of light and heavy construction vessels.Coordinated with subcontractors and clients for equipment design, specification, construction, and delivery for large projects. Collaborated with multiple internal departments, coordinating development and review of internal interdisciplinary deliverables and maintaining timelines.Directed on site activities installing and operating multimillion dollar equipment on offshore vessels. Complications arose frequently, including simultaneous mobilizations for different scopes and work following natural disasters when basic equipment and personnel were scarce or non-existent.Developed project documentation, rigging designs, lifting plans, and installation procedures for offshore operations. Solid understanding of how these dynamic systems work, both in air and subsea, can make or break the scope. Lead for platform operations for pipeline flex joint remediation and replacement on semisubmersible FPU. Onsite flexibility and quick reactions to obstacles were necessary to succeed in an emergency situation. Explored the feasibility of shallow water pipeline pull-in operations using unique equipment configurations.Lead design for innovative diverless riser steering and pull-in system, focusing on functionality and personnel interaction, including designing new installation aides and finding unique solutions to save time on critical path and optimize handling of equipment. Identified design and operability issues in a supposedly finalized concept, initiating significant mechanical design and procedural revisions, resulting in improvements to all aspects of the project scope.
