ABOUT DAVID PASIEKA
David has extensive expertise as a C-level executive and Board Member that spans several highly regulated industries, including Utilities, Renewable Energy, Enterprise Technology, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Global Banking and Trading, Wireless and Cleantech. Previously he has also served on the board of Oakville Enterprise Corporation (OEC), Oakville Hydro, Aleafia Health, Liberty Utilities, IseeMedia and Luxell Technologies. David holds a Chartered Director designation from The Director\'s College at McMaster University and completed a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching through Royal Roads University. He\'s been a guest lecturer at The Directors College, sharing his perspective about Board Governance, Climate Change, and ESG. Recently, he joined the Faculty of the Caribbean Governance Institute where he lectures on Risk, Building Competency Boards and Cybersecurity. Committed to Life Long Learning David completed executive certificates in ESG and Cyber. He has also contributed as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at the MaRS Discovery District Innovation Hub focusing on cleantech ventures. As an advisor, he has guided over 250 companies through the process to secure funding, develop next-level strategy, establish governance practices and increase customer engagement.David\'s cornerstone is founded in sustainability and that\'s reflected in the focused work he\'s done in both the environmental and safety sectors. He\'s led teams that were recognized in the top 10 of 2020 Corporate Knights 16th annual Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World. He\'s also passionately dedicated to working effectively with regulators and also helping organizations establish and improving upon diversity and inclusion (D&I) programs. He\'s especially proud of the work Liberty Utilities\' D&I Council did to be named to the 2020 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index. David has a wealth of knowledge and proven experience that\'s seen him appointed to lead complex mergers, acquisitions, transitions and integrations. His resourcefulness, drive, financial acumen, and inspiring leadership are all character hallmarks. David is also renowned for encouraging collaboration, establishing common ground, and creating communities within organizations.
