We are heading into the biggest workforce transition since the industrial revolution – and we are wildly under-preparing young people for it.I’m the co-founder of Powering Futures, a social enterprise working with 100+ Scottish secondary schools and 200+ industry partners to help 16–24-year-olds develop the meta-skills, confidence, and career pathways needed for the energy transition.To date, we’ve supported young people, delivered an SCQF Level 6 accredited programme, and built partnerships with organisations including SSE, AECOM, Vattenfall, BAM, Siemens Energy, and PwC.We work with forward-thinking employers to:– Build future talent pipelines– Deliver meaningful social value– Engage young people with real careersIf you’re a business leader, policymaker, or educator interested in shaping the future workforce, I’m always open to a conversation.
