As Chapter President of the East Tennessee Chapter of PMI®, I serve as the chief executive officer, providing strategic leadership for both the Chapter and its Board. My core responsibilities include presiding over regular meetings, appointing and supporting committee leaders, and driving the organization’s strategic planning initiatives. I represent the Chapter to PMI® Global and a broad range of external stakeholders, ensuring that all activities align with PMI®’s standards, values, and ethical guidelines.This role demands a high level of leadership, governance, facilitation, communication, and team management skills. I am also responsible for cultivating strong board collaboration, participating in planning retreats, and actively engaging with PMI® Global to foster the Chapter’s growth and sustainability. My work centers on advancing the Chapter’s mission, building community partnerships, and ensuring the long-term success of our professional community

At ORNL, I have led projects by fostering stakeholder collaboration, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, managing risks, maintaining clear communication, adapting to changing requirements, and consistently delivering successful outcomes. A key project highlight is the American Science Cloud (AmSC), a major initiative launched in 2025 that supports the Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission. AmSC serves as a platform for hosting and distributing AI models and scientific data, connecting national labs, industry, and researchers to advance scientific discovery through AI. Integrated into ORNL’s infrastructure, AmSC is positioned to drive new AI-powered, exascale scientific advancements.As President of ETPMI, I lead strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and increase member engagement. Through building strong partnerships and delivering meaningful value to our members, I ensure the chapter’s mission to advance project management is actively realized.
