I\'m an Executive Producer and Producer at the National Film Board of Canada where I oversee a slate of documentary, interactive, and animation productions made nationally and internationally. I manage the North West Studio, which looks after NFB documentary, animation, and interactive in Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, North West Territories and Nunavut. It\'s one of the NFB\'s eight English language studios located across Canada. Recent production highlights include the Oscar nominated animation \"The Flying Sailor\", the Hot-Docs award winning film \"Kímmapiiyipitssini: The Meaning of Empathy\" the NFB co-produced feature documentary “nîpawistamâsowin - We Will Stand Up”, directed by Tasha Hubbard and winner of the Best Canadian Feature award at the 2019 Hot Docs Film Festival, “Supreme Law” directed by Katerina Cizek, “WALL”, directed by Cam Christiansen and written and starring David Hare, the feature film \"The Forbidden Room\" directed by Guy Maddin & Evan Johnson, the acclaimed feature documentary \"Everything Will Be\" directed by Julia Kwan, the Oscar-nominated animated short film \"Wild Life\", the FWA Site of the Year \"Bear 71\", as well as emerging filmmaking and digital programmes for Nunavut filmmakers. In total, my studio has about 25-30 projects in development and production at any one time. Prior to joining the NFB, I worked as an independent writer, producer and director. My most recent independent film was the 2009 documentary \"The Mirror\", which had its international premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, the US premiere as the opening film at MoMA\'s Documentary Fortnight, and its Canadian premiere at Hot Docs in Toronto.

At the National Film Board of Canada, I\'m a producer and executive producer of documentary, animation, and interactive projects that have a strong social issue component and push boundaries in both form and content. My productions have been nominated for Oscars, an Emmy Award, Canada\'s Top Ten, as well as wins for the Rogers Audience Award for Canadian Feature Documentary at Hot Docs among other awards. I look after the NFB\'s North West Studio and concentrate on productions in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut, and the North West Territories.
