About David Mitrovčan Morgan
Everything we do is a story. From a pitch deck to a policy proposal, from a mission statement to a single moment of connection, stories shape how we communicate, persuade, and build. But the best stories aren’t told; they’re lived. I don’t just tell stories, but use them to cut through complexity, to translate rigid institutional structures into something deeply human; something that moves. My work revolves around tackling bureaucratic pain points, the entrenched institutional habits that stifle innovation and flourishing. But institutions aren’t immovable. Change happens when we listen, simplify, and rethink the way systems operate. I don’t just believe in change. I make it happen. Institutions resist it. Bureaucracies bury it. But I’ve spent my life navigating complexity to turn ideas into reality. My ability to drive institutional change isn’t theoretical; it’s lived experience.I grew up with a single mother in Serbia, where breakfast was a luxury and dinner was uncertain. I learned early that success isn’t born of talent—it’s born of grit. At 11, I made a choice: stay with my family, my friends, and my culture, or leave everything behind to pursue something greater. I chose the unknown. Opportunity alone isn’t enough; it must be seized with toil and sacrifice.Since I was 15, I’ve worked every summer while my friends rested. I’ve held part-time jobs throughout college to support my education. Hard work isn’t a burden but the cost of ambition. But grit alone isn’t enough. My mother taught me that we’re here to connect—that empathy is the foundation of trust, leadership, and change. I don’t just implement policy or improve systems, but listen, learn, and tailor change to the human experience. And I don’t wait. I refuse to be a passive participant in my own story. Change isn’t luck. It’s built through intentionality and proactivity. Bureaucracy is a slow-moving machine, but it can move. I’ve seen it move. I’ve moved it. This is why I challenge inefficiency and systemic stagnation. Why I believe real change requires storytelling to inspire, empathy to connect, grit to endure, intentionality to direct, and proactivity to execute.
