ABOUT DAVID MIDDELBECK
I love building products that make people better at what they do.I’m the Co-Founder & CPO of edyoucated, where our small product team is building an AI-powered system that helps companies launch learning and skills management ten times faster than traditional LMS tools. Today, our “skills navigation system” supports Deutsche Bahn, the German Red Cross, BASF, BORA, and thousands of learners. We’re just getting started. My craft sits at the intersection of AI, product strategy, and organisational learning. I studied Information Systems in Münster and at Harvard – combining data science, AI, philosophy, and political science to better understand how technology operates within broader social systems. I started out as a data scientist and later Head of Product at an analytics company, before focusing fully on education. On the side, I co-founded TechLabs, a nonprofit powered by 300 volunteers that helped thousands of learners across 16 cities write their first line of code. That journey led to a TEDx talk on digital education, now viewed over times. How I lead: set a clear vision, trust talented people, give them space, and stay focused on work that matters to users, not vanity metrics. Why I’m here: learning at work is still too often guesswork. People know where they want to go – but lack a reliable way to get there. We’re building the GPS: a system that shows where skills stand, what matters next, and how to move forward with clarity.Let’s connect if you’re building purposeful AI products, rethinking L&D, or just share a love for great ideas.
