About David Hupp

Growing up, my father always told me,\"David, I don\'t care what you do when you grow up, just make sure you enjoy it.\" He exposed me to all sorts of jobs, from installing hot water heaters to maintaining family cars to repairing electrical and mechanical appliances. I finally found my passion when he brought home a TV he found on the side of the road and told me to take it apart.I spent the next five hours unscrewing and removing connectors. When I was finished, he walked in and said,\"Good. Now put it back together.\" That\'s when I realized the importance of having a solid plan before working on something. If I had known what I was getting into, I would have organized the parts, screws, and cables. Instead, it took me four days to get the TV working again. But that experience taught me a valuable lesson: having a plan makes everything easier. Ever since that day, I\'ve been passionate about working on electronic equipment. At age 17, I joined the Navy and followed my passion. I was trained as an Electronic Technician and gained 26 years of experience in a wide range of areas, including radars, transmitters, receivers, electronic test equipment calibration, computers, networks, data transfer devices,CCI equipment and submersibles.I am currently working for the United States Coast Guard as the Atlantic Area Interoperability Communications program manager. I am grateful to my father for teaching me so much and for helping me find my passion. I am also grateful for the opportunity to serve my country and to make a difference in the world
