About David Mezera

I\'m the kid standing in Radio Shack in front of the TRS-80 computer. I\'ve got a copy of the book \"My Computer Likes Me When I Speak in BASIC\" with me, and a tape cassette to save the example programs. The store manager doesn\'t seem to mind that I come in every day that summer. I\'m the guy who bought an IBM PC as the first Big Purchase of his life - even before my first car. I\'m staying up well past midnight nearly every day, learning how to solve problems for my Air Force squadron with custom programs I\'ve written in Turbo Pascal. It\'s not my job, but I absolutely love doing it. I\'m the guy starting an ISP with buddies in the 90s, when the Internet first opened up for commercial use. We don\'t know a thing about business, or about setting up networks and communication servers, but we know the web browser is about to change the world. We take leaps of faith, and risk everything, to pursue it full time. I\'m the guy giddily testing virtual servers and server clustering with beta versions of Linux software, long before it was called cloud computing. The realization that we\'ll soon be able to entirely abstract away hardware concerns and focus entirely on the other six layers blows my mind. Seeing the power of the possible, I lead the company \"all in\" on cloud. I\'m an electrical engineer, a computer engineer, an entrepreneur, and a leader of a high-tech business. I\'m a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I\'m blessed, well beyond my ability to describe with words. And I love solving complicated problems. I can\'t wait to help you solve yours!

   DataYard was bootstrapped in 1995 with two close friends (Leigh Sandy and Dave Hughes) as an Internet Service Provider. We\'ve evolved and grown into a premier cloud computing host and consultancy focused on performance, security, and scalability for high-traffic sites and applications.
