Since I last updated my profile, I have \"retired\" from my previous role with The Center for Creative Leadership and more recently have stumbled into a role that has been calling me for much of my life but I hadn\'t realized. I\'m directing the Mosaic program for ICS which taps many of my skills, including design, innovation, facilitation, and coaching. The one that was underneath the surface for a long time has surfaced: that of understanding, appreciating and bridging differences by building trust between people who are different in many ways - including ethnically. Previously I had come to realize that my profession is Designer. As a designer of leadership and innovation developmental experiences (more recently as a designer of on line experiences). I entered the computer industry as a designer of computer systems and through various management and domain shifts in ICL became an expert in making ideas happen. What is sometimes called innovation. All this time I exhibited both creative and artistic flair. I had been a musician since a teenager and never let that go even while I was a computer engineer. My latest interest in a passion for helping others make things happen and making meaning of their lives in the process. I have been an innovator all my life originally in a more technological sense and in the last 17 years as a designer and facilitator of creative leadership and innovation development experiences and as co-author of The Leader\'s Edge: 6 Creative Competencies for Navigating Complex Challenge and co-inventor of the tools: Visual Explorer®; Metaphor Explorer™; Wisdom Explorer™; Targeted Innovation Toolkit™; and Transformations™One of the places that my exploratory nature has taken me is The Creative Education Foundation® - Where Brainstorming Began™ I was honoured to be The Chairman of the Board of Trustees for this noble organization from 2004 to 2011. I came to this organization by its best known product CPSI® (pronounced sib see) The Creative Problem Solving Institute® where I had presented since 1992.My current quest is to explore and make useful the connection between sound/music and creative leadership development using my design, innovation, and musical knowledge and talent so that others can develop their creative leadership.From my opening paragraph you can see my quest has shifted.Specialties: CreativityMaking ideas happen)Art making as a forum for creative leadership developmentMusic and sound as a forum for creative leadership developmentBridging differencesTeaching others how to do all the above
