About David Stevens

David Stevens has been working in the information technology field for more than 25 years. During that time, he has held a series of progressively responsible IT positions in both higher education and corporate sectors. He is currently a Consulting Field Solutions Architect at Pure Storage focused on virtualization technologies. Prior to joining Pure Storage he was a Principal Technical Solutions Consultant at Entrust where he had worldwide responsibility for architecting and building secure solutions for all Entrust Digital Security Solutions. Prior to joining Entrust as part of the Entrust acquisition he was the Chief Solutions Evangelist & Architect where he was responsible for evangelizing HyTrust\'s best-in-class data classification, security, and compliance solutions for worldwide, multi-cloud environments. He was also involved in supporting key customers and channel partners with technical training and partner enablement.Prior to joining HyTrust as part of the DataGravity acquisition he was a Senior Technical Marketing Manager for DataGravity. In this position he was responsible for creating technical content such as white papers, technical reports, and demonstration videos for the integration of DataGravity Discovery Series \"data-aware\" storage systems into an organizations IT environment. In addition to the above responsibilities he also provided internal training, customer webcasts and technical pre-sales calls.Prior to joining DataGravity David worked for Dell Solutions Management as a File Solutions Architect where he was responsible for working with Dell Storage Partners to architect solutions around Dell storage products such as the Compellent SC Series and EqualLogic PS Series block storage products and the FS Series NAS products.Prior to joining Dell David worked for Carnegie Mellon University as the Storage Manager. He was responsible for the institution’s storage area networks and backup services. David was also instrumental in bringing Carnegie Mellon’s, Qatar Campus IT infrastructure online in time for the first undergraduate class.David holds a B.S. in Science from The Pennsylvania State University.Specialties: Windows Systems and Active Directory architecture as it relates to Higher Education, iSCSI-based SAN solutions and other IP storage solutions.
