ABOUT DAVID L. KLINGER

For more than 2 years, my current focus is to develop the learning experience for all High School ASL I, II, IV and Honor students who get involved with learning American Sign Language (ASL) and various Deaf-related projects such as interviews with high-profiled Deaf people, arts, researches, new ASL games, and more. Curriculums for all ASL levels were developed using separated websites so that students could use them to study and prepare for tests, exams and projects. Continuously attend several different conferences such as American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) and others as the part of my personal development. Before becoming the current ASL teacher, for more than 20 years, my focus had been in Information Technology (IT) assurance (security and compliance), process and policy management, technical leadership, and customer care. I have developed a strong foundation in information security; excellent team leadership skills with local and global/remote teams; usage of collaboration tools for successful teaming; and the application of technical skills to creative and unique solutions. I am always evaluating industry trends and technologies for their potential application to current business processes. IT Security and Compliance - no matter which way you slice it, it means different things to different companies. Policies, their enforcement, and the technical controls around them also differ. My goal is to leverage my experience as an IT Security and Compliance focal, and in turn provide your organization and improved and cost effective security posture. Specialties: Compliance Enforcement, Risk Assessment, Policy & Process Development, Change Management, Problem Determination, Customer Support, Global Teaming & Negotiation, Training & Documentation, Social Computing, Networking, TCP/IP, UNIX and Linux systems and applications, Windows Server, Perl, CGI, Lotus Domino, HTML
