Hecht Partners LLP is a commercial litigation law firm focused on impact litigation. Our cases include complex intellectual property and technology disputes, as well as class actions and international arbitrations. Some representative accomplishments/clients: Twice led security startup Corellium to victory against Apple, represented by Latham & Watkins, in a copyright/DMCA case in the Southern District of Florida. First, won summary judgment against all of Apple\'s copyright claims (largely upheld on appeal). Then, days before trial, Apple withdrew its DMCA claims as part of a favorable settlement for Corellium. Lead litigation counsel for Proxense, LLC (co-counseling with Susman Godfrey), in patent infringement cases against Google and Microsoft; previously achieved a favorable settlement with Samsung (represented by some of my former colleagues at Quinn Emanuel). Copyright counsel for world-famous choreographer, JaQuel Knight; featured in the cover article of Billboard\'s November 2020 issue regarding registration of the \"Single Ladies\" choreography. Counsel for Mahmoud Farshchian and his eponymous company, Farshchian Art. Lead counsel for world-famous sax player Leo P against Epic Games for its sale and use of Leo P\'s signature dance movement; survived Epic\'s motion to dismiss and made new law with respect to false endorsement under the Lanham Act.
