An experienced software development manager, technical team leader, architect, and developer who has worked across a range of software engineering fields.I am experienced in many high level languages, design techniques and development methods. Equally, I am happy working with assemblers, traces and oscilloscopes. Mostly, though not exclusively, I have worked on real time and high performance applications.My roles as manager and technical team leader involved customer visits, technical support, market analysis, trade fair visits, strategic planning, and defect tracking. My team varied from 4 to 60 engineers, working on a successful broadcast media application, and muktiple machine learning software frameworks.Core skills include a thorough understanding of the C, C++, C# and Java languages on Windows, OS/X and Linux/UNIX environments, with experience in multi-core design, wide area networking, real time and embedded systems. I can understand, design, alter and fix complex systems quickly and efficiently, with appropriate compromise between factors such as performance, scalability, cost and time to delivery.More recently I have been involved with microservices and cloud system delivery, and machine learning for high performance systems. A self-managing and focused worker, I will follow a job through to completion. I am creative and am happy working in a team or alone.
