   I am a Principal with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) a national engineering firm that designs, investigates and retrofits buildings and structures of all types. SGH designs and retrofits buildings, building envelope and structural systems and mechanical structures. Ourinvestigations and research encompass a wide range of building components, structural problems, construction related activities, and performance of materials and manufactured products. We currently have five offices in the US (Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC)I am the Principal in charge of the national fire practice with current operations in three offices. I am directly involved with all technical aspects of any work related to fire within the firm.
