ABOUT DAVID HOOPER
I am a mediator accredited by ADR Group and the RICS. I mediate regularly throughout England and Wales in a range of civil, commercial and property disputes. I make use of my background experience of over 35 years in property and business consultancy to help parties find practical and robust solutions to a wide range of challenging problems. My mediation style is relaxed but persistent. I try to use humour to defuse tensions, but I keep parties focused on practical and commercial realities.I am there to help people sort out their problems and I don\'t give up. I apply common sense and my own experience; I am not afraid of a more evaluative approach if it can help move the parties toward settlement; but I don\'t believe in settlement at any price. I manage the process to ensure that no party is driven to settle through undue pressure or exhaustion. That said, there is no better feeling than when two warring parties leave the mediation venue having shaken hands over a settlement that they both see as fair and workable. I like to keep abreast of the latest thinking by regular training and CPD. I frequently bring a fellow mediator to my mediations to give me peer review; and I am always keen to receive feedback.
