As the Head of Compliance I have designed, implemented, refined an end-to-end governance framework to meet the regulatory standards for data protection compliance. I’ve produced a management system for data protection compliance, implemented and delivered on the strategic action plan, designed and manage the internal audit framework, built and delivered a bespoke range of training materials, publish DPO Bulletins and other awareness raising material, monitor legal and regulatory changes and take action where necessary, actively engage with all stakeholders across the organisation, produce annual and monthly monitoring reports, support with DPIA production, supply chain risks and risk management measures, produce policies and standard operating procedures amongst other things to drive compliance, support the organisation’s objectives and provide a detailed level of assurance to Management.The Compliance Team that I manage has responsibility for compliance to data protection (including privacy) legal and regulatory frameworks and maintaining certification to industry standards such as ISO27001:2022.Away from the general compliance tasks I research into different areas of privacy law such data protection/privacy and emerging technologies (e.g AI/ML) to support the organisation\'s continue expansion and for career/personal development purposes.
