About David Hollon

David Hollon is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Crosstimbers Capital Group, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and business development efforts and plays a key role in capital formation. He serves as Chairman of the firm’s private equity investment committee and is a member of the investment committees for Crosstimbers’ other funds. Since founding the firm in 2016, David has helped grow Crosstimbers to manage approximately $1 billion in assets across multiple funds and co-investments. The firm focuses on building enduring, capital-efficient businesses in sectors including infrastructure, energy, telecom, and real assets.Over the course of his career, David has helped form and scale more than 20 companies, raising and deploying over $4 billion in equity and debt capital. His track record includes launching and growing high-profile businesses such as Landmark Dividend (NASDAQ: LMRK) and Sunnova Energy (NYSE: NOVA), as well as Red Dot Storage, which expanded from three properties to nearly 200 nationwide before its sale. He has led investments in companies such as CJ Energy, Gateway Fiber, Boxwheel, and Tachus—each achieving successful outcomes for investors, teams, and customers alike.Prior to founding Crosstimbers, David served as President of Brock Capital, a family-office-sponsored private equity firm. He also held roles in the principal investment division of Goldman Sachs, where he managed a $1 billion portfolio of oil and gas assets, and at Simmons & Company International, advising energy clients on mergers and financings.David earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was honored with the Buck Weirus Spirit Award, one of Texas A&M’s highest recognitions for leadership, involvement, and impact on campus life.
