ABOUT DAVID H. FINK
David Fink, a Detroit native, is an experienced civil litigator, whose practice has focused on commercial litigation. Super Lawyers Magazine names him one of Michigan\'s Top 100 Lawyers. He handles both individual and class actions and has been appointed lead counsel in the Eastern District of Michigan in the Refrigerant Compressors Antitrust Litigation, where Defendants agreed to pay up to $48.5 million. He was co-lead counsel in the Enbridge Oil Spill litigation in the Western District of Michigan, with a favorable settlement for residents in the vicinity of the spill. Mr. Fink is currently counsel in many other pending class matters. He has litigated in courts throughout the State of Michigan, winning important victories at the State and Federal trial court level, and also in the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. After serving in Governor Granholm\'s Cabinet, Mr. Fink was appointed by Governor Granholm to mediate a dispute between the Detroit Medical Center and the Wayne State University Medical School. In 2010, Mr. Fink served on the Michigan State Officers Compensation Commission and fought for judicial pay raises. He recently concluded two terms on the State Bar Committee on Judicial Qualifications. He previously served on the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee, assisting in evaluating candidates for appointment to the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. In 2013, Mr. Fink was appointed by the Judges of the Eastern District of Michigan to Chair their Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel.
