ABOUT DAVID H. BROOKS

David H Brooks, CRE, MAI, is Executive VP of Valbridge Property Advisors, Inc. and Senior Managing Director of Valbridge Property Advisors | Baltimore Washington Metro. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Development & Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate & Urban Development from American University in Washington D.C. David is the founding partner and senior managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors | Baltimore Washington Metro. A former partner in the real estate appraisal and consulting firm of Lipman Frizzell & Mitchell LLC since 1989, and an associate since 1978, he holds the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute and the CRE designation of the American Society of Real Estate Counselors. He is past president of the Maryland Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and past President of CHAI, a non-profit housing agency focusing on northwest Baltimore neighborhood stabilization and on housing for seniors in Pikesville and Owings Mills. He is also a licensed real estate broker and president/founder of Brooks Management Company, He has previously been a member of the real estate faculty at Johns Hopkins University. David has over 40 years of appraisal, consulting, management, investment and development experience. He has been analyzing, valuing, renovating and consulting on various real estate projects for clients and for his own portfolio, emphasizing multi-family projects, shopping center developments and the hospitality industry. David is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C, Pennsylvania and Virginia and has served as an expert witness in the DC, Maryland and Virginia Tax Courts, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and others.Specialties: Real Estate Appraisal, Consulting and Management, Photography
