Hello there, I’m David, an educator passionate about fostering the growth of young minds. Originally from Vienna, Austria, I bring over a decade of experience in elementary education. My teaching journey began internationally in Denmark, and continued in Viennese classrooms, giving me a deep appreciation for multilingual and multicultural learning environments. I also served as a lecturer at the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien (Teacher College), supporting future educators in their training and professional development.I hold a Master’s in Educational Science from the University of Vienna and a second Master’s in Educational Leadership from the International University of Applied Sciences in Germany - focusing on school leadership, change management, and quality development.Currently, I’m proud to serve as the Head of School at the German-American School Manhattan (GSM), a bilingual IB World School in New York City. In this role, I lead a vibrant team of educators and oversee the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme, with a strong emphasis on community building, inquiry-based learning, and cross-cultural collaboration.I believe in crafting tailored, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where every student can grow. I’m always eager to connect with fellow educators, school leaders, and changemakers to share ideas and shape the future of education together.
