About David Haack

My name is David Haack, and I’m a musician, actor, and voice over artist. I moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2005 to pursue my dreams of performing on the biggest stages possible. I was lucky enough to begin working right away, first in print modeling and then quickly into commercials and film. After booking campaigns for K-Swiss shoes and Old Navy months after moving here, I also booked my first film, “The Poughkeepsie Tapes”, which ended up being sold to MGM. Following those early successes, I was cast in the first series of music videos for a then unknown with a new pilot. That “unknown” was Miley Cyrus, and the show was “Hannah Montana”. I played guitar for the first music videos that paired with the show airing on The Disney Channel, and I also got to meet Miley’s Dad, Billy Ray. Soon after that experience, I was contacted to come film an episode of the show and to play the character of “Davie”, Miley’s guitar player. It gave me my first television acting credit in town. Soon after, I appeared on “Soap Talk” and “Good Morning America” with Billy Ray as his harmony singer and guitar player. I also booked a pilot for 20th Century FOX called “The Apostles”. Then I was contacted by Billy Ray again to meet with the team he was working with for a new film, “Flying By”. There was a part he thought I would be right for, so he had me meet the director, Mr Jim Amatulli. Jim was kind enough to put me in his film, which ended up airing on Lifetime.
