ABOUT DAVID THOMAS

I am a performance-oriented, innovative executive leader with proven strategy and growth experience in both the global health market and domestic health technology market. I am currently independent and taking contracts until another interesting opportunity to make a difference materializes. Most recently, I was Senior Vice President Corporate Operations for Healthtech and Nordic Global, where my focus was on building systems and talent to enable the company to maintain its significant growth and success while improving the quality of its services and clinical differentiation. Previous experience was making an investment and functioning as chief operating officer for the development of a new knowledge management business focused on health government relations and taking it through seed round funding into a profitable going concern. I previously build a new technology platform business over 3 years within TELUS during the pandemic, from ideation stage, through conceptual design into an operational business unit with $27M in signed global contracts for an innovative new digital technology product. My strengths include: Digital Health Information Technology, Infrastructure and Architecture, Talent Recruitment and Development, Global Business Operations, Strategy and Partnerships, Executive Communications, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Sales and Leadership.I have multiple years of Board and Governance experience, with both public and private sector, in education and health and have a strong understanding of the complexity of health care from a variety of executive work experiences, across a diverse range of health markets, globally, nationally, in both public and private health organizations, including home care, teaching hospitals, government and consulting.
