ABOUT DAVID SHEARER

My role as Director Integrated Digital Services involves technical leadership for Pinchin offices while, servicing clients and developing strategy nationally. In addition to my technical skills solving complex building related problems, I have a passion for technology and innovation, and am the lead for Pinchin’s Technology Strategy and chair of our Innovation Team.Pinchin’s Technology Strategy is a corporate focus area that develops the future vision for how Pinchin will deliver projects, and leverage sensors, data and technology to provide superior services to our clients. This role involves actively engaging in technology markets, identifying companies to work and partner with, and evaluating and integrating these offerings to build value for the company.Recognizing that digital transformation is as much about people as it is about technology, I actively engage in developing change management initiatives and organized rollouts to “cross the chasm” and maximize staff adoption and return on investment for the company.A proven leader in operations and projects, with a track record for turning new ideas into execution and financial growth. I pride myself in my abilities as a “chaos pilot” who can strategically sequence and integrate challenging and sometimes ambiguous projects into simple and coherent plans. I am driven and energized when navigating in areas that are new or unknown.I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph. In addition, I am a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a member of the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists as well as Canadian Green Building Council.
