I\'m a Tester. I\'ve been called a Test Analyst, Test Consultant, Test Manager, Performance Tester and Security Tester, but essentially it comes down to this: I test. I test software, hardware, embedded systems, hand-held products, integrated systems on the ground and in the cloud. I test documentation, processes, requirements and designs. I test performance and security. If I can access it, I can test it.I can learn a product or system quickly employing exploratory testing techniques and years of experience. I\'m used to working with little to no documentation or direction. I enjoy a challenge. I write code to create automated tests or to query databases and interfaces. I work for companies that are developing, upgrading or migrating a technology product or service that needs someone to ensure that both their needs and those of their clients are being met.I\'ve helped clients understand their QA requirements, audited existing QA processes, consulted on RFPs, developed test documentation and processes, setup test labs, trained staff and helped with recruitment. I\'ve run workshops to better understand how a product or service is being used, built exhaustive regression test packs and identified areas for improvement, all within agreed time-frames and budgets.I\'ve consulted for companies of all sizes, written articles and given talks. I\'ve worked with local government, higher education and SMEs within Suffolk to promote the awareness of the quality of IT systems and Cyber Security resilience.
