About David Eveland
I love to work with technology and technical people. Today I work to create a great team that creates reliable electric power generation and energy storage solutions for commercial/industrial applications located remote from the power grid. In addition to manufacturing remote off-grid power systems, I enjoy two great children and an awesome wife; we love to ski, hunt, fish, crossfit, wrestle, swim, and remodel buildings. We like to drive fuel efficient tdi\'s and one fast Dodge Charger.Every brand has stories to tell—the SunWize brand has a great story. The SunWize brand began in 1994 in Kingston, NY. SunWize developed power technologies and manufactured off-grid solar and hybrid electric power generating and energy storage systems. In the late 1990s, at with the commercialization of grid-connected solar in the United States, SunWize grew into one of the largest distributors of solar power equipment in the United States. During this period SunWize continued building off-grid power systems and added business segments in residential, commercial, and utility solar power. I merged my solar construction business into SunWize Technologies, Inc in 2009 and worked for SunWize Technologies until 2014. I was involved in fantastic solar construction projects ranging in size from 50 kW to 11 MW; my colleagues and I developed some of the largest solar carport projects at the time and developed a project on the Indy Motor Speedway property. In 2014 I founded a separate business, SunWize Power & Battery, LLC to focus on the off-grid remote power systems business to serve industrial and government customers with electric loads remote from the electric power grid. SunWize Power & Battery manufactures autonomous electric power systems and distributes parts for these systems. While solar power is in our roots, batteries and controllers are the heart of our systems and the power generation comes from Solar, TEGs, Fuel Cells, Engine Generators, or wind power.
