ABOUT DAVIDE TESORO
I am (proudly) part of BMW Group AG and BMW Motorsport since May 2014. I have worked on the aerodynamic project and development of Sauber (from 2012 up to March 2014), BMW DTM project (2012 DTM Championship), Toyota (from 2008 to the end of 2009, then from mid 2010 up to January 2011) and Red Bull Racing F1 cars (2005 to 2007). At the very beginning of my working experience I have been working as Aerodynamicist and CFD Engineer in Dallara (Indy Racing League, Le Mans Projects, F3, DTM). I have worked also in the Automotive industry (Pininfarina SpA), mainly on Retractable Hard Top (RHT) cars both on Aerodynamic and Aeroacoustic (wind-noise) Perfomances: Volvo C70, Alfa Romeo Brera, Ford StreetKa, Jaguar X-type estate, Mitsubishi Colt RHT. Along with the wind tunnel experience I have had the opportunity of improving the knowledge of numerical codes as FLUENT/ANSYS/Workbench, STAR/CCM+, OpenFoam,PowerFLOW and Newpan. I have been trained to the Toyota state-of-the-art PIV system. In my work experiences as Aerodynamicist, I have been employed in a Swiss, German and English Motorsport and Formula 1 team and I have previously worked with English, German, French, Swedish and Swiss colleagues in a multi-culture environment. Passion for what I do is what drives me!
