ABOUT DAVID EGUREN
After professional training at the The Studio Theatre of Asnières, David explored the world of theatre in all its aspects: Marivaux, Corneille, Shakespeare, Christopher Durang. He came to musical theater several years ago when the Conservatoire National de Musique de Boulogne (National Conservatoire of Music of Boulogne) gave him the leading role of Mlle Poiretapée, the fish vendor in “Les Dames de La Halle” a light opera by Jacques Offenbach. He soon became part of the original casts in several musicals such as “Chance” and “Parce que je vous aime” (Because I love you) by Raphael Sanchez, directed by Nicolas Lormeau of the Comédie Française. He invested himself in different such promising projects as “1939” written by Stéphane Métro and Christophe Borie on the theme of the World War II, a musical he directed, or “Dracula: The musical Tragedy” in which he played Lord Arthur. David played the godfather in “Nutcracker\" at the Théâtre Comédia and was a part of “Les Trois Valses” by Strauss directed by Jean-Louis Grinda. For the role of ZAZU, David was awarded the Marius 2008 for Best Supporting Actor in the successful show « LE ROI LION » (The Lion King) directed by Julie Taymor at the Théâtre Mogador.(Three Molière awards including Best Musical). David has directed several shows including \"DIRTY DANCING\"(Dôme de Paris and tour),\"Le Génie Jules Verne” (Jules Verne’s Genius) by Dewen. This staging was particularly remarked and brought him to stage the exhibition’s opening “80 jours pour rêver” (80 days to dream) at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie of Paris. In a totally different style, David staged and managed the show “Assurance fou-rire” for two years at the Astérix Theme Park. He has also written songs for two musicals for children: “Plouft, le petit fantôme” (Plouft, the little ghost) and “Le fabuleux Trésor d’Eguili-Guili” (The Tickle-castle’s Fabulous Treasure) a musical tale.
