   As an Emergency Management Specialist for the City of Glendale, I support the development, coordination, and execution of all-hazards emergency management plans and operations, with a special emphasis on logistics. My responsibilities focus on ensuring the city is prepared for, protected against, and able to effectively respond to and recover from disasters and emergencies.Key Responsibilities:Lead logistics coordination and readiness efforts for citywide emergency management operations.Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics planning, capability assessments, and resource management.Maintain readiness of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), including supplies, technology, and operational capability.Conduct regular inventories and assist with maintenance of emergency equipment and systems.Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment in emergency preparedness and planning.Support the development and maintenance of SOPs, checklists, and operational guides related to emergency preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.Serve as the Duty Officer on a rotating schedule and act as Emergency Management Director in their absence.Represent the City in regional and interagency emergency management and homeland security coordination efforts.Support after-action reviews and continuous improvement through exercise participation and real-world incident response.Assist in the management of emergency management grants and special projects.
