Quality Engineer @MERMEC

I am currently working as a Quality Engineer in MerMec S.p.A. which provides customized laser diagnostic equipment for the railway and steel industry. The company is part of Angel Group, also operating in the fields of aerospace, IoT and cyber security.\\\\n\\\\nIn this role I provide advice on European standards and regulations topics, with a main focus on:\\\\n- railway-specific CEI EN standards: 50121, 50124, 50125, 50155, 61373;\\\\n- RFI technical specifications: IS402;\\\\n- other regulations (with a broader application scope): 60068-2, 60529, 60598-1, 60•••34, checklists are developed for each standard to help track and satisfy all requirements.\\\\n\\\\nSupport is also provided to other departments when assessing applicable regulatory requirements to new products/contracts and related type-test plans for validation purposes.\\\\n\\\\nDrawing on my previous work experiences I am promoting activities to:\\\\n- analyse and reduce Non Conformities, originating both internally and externally to the company, and recover their cost;\\\\n- improve the way derogation & waiver requests are handled.\\\\n\\\\nIn the field of Continuous Improvement I am promoting process changes to streamline quality controls on incoming goods and handle fast design changes in production; metrics are developed to better track suppliers quality performances and rate them accordingly.\\\\n\\\\nI am also working with different departments to enhance information tracking and sharing as per ISO 9001.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
