ABOUT DAVIDE PECCHIA
I’ve been passionate about telecommunications and technology for over 25 years, working across the evolution of networks from early optical infrastructures to today’s 5G ecosystems.My journey started in 1997 as a technician in a mobile phone repair center while studying engineering. Shortly after, I joined Marconi, where what started as a summer experience in the military department quickly turned into the beginning of a long and exciting career in telecom networks.Until 2006 I worked on optical and transport networks including DWDM, CWDM, SDH, PDH and L2/L3 infrastructure, contributing to international deployments and complex system integrations.After the acquisition of Marconi, I moved to Ericsson where my focus expanded to end-to-end network solutions across 2G, 3G, 4G and now 5G technologies. Over the years I have been involved in the design, deployment and modernization of Radio Access Networks, Mobile Backhaul and national broadcasting infrastructures. For the last 13+ years I have coordinated complex international projects and since 2016 I have been leading network transformation initiatives as Project Director, driving modernization programs, lifecycle management strategies and large-scale deployments.
