ABOUT DAVIDE FAINA
I’m a young Biomedical Engineer: I graduated from Università Politecnica delle Marche with a degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 (final grade: 110/110 cum laude).Biomedical Engineering brings together concepts and skills from life sciences, physical sciences, medicine and engineering, in order to model physiological systems and solve medical problems. The main subjects of Biomedical Engineering are: bioengineering, electromagnetism, bioelectromagnetic interactions, informatics, computers, computer networks, operating systems, robotics, electronics, mechanics, chemistry, physics.My degree thesis, whose title is “Event driven healthcare informatics systems”, concerns a method for medical data sharing using a central dispatcher which connects every operator of the healthcare service. During the development of my thesis project I had the chance to learn new programming languages (PHP, Java), new standards like DICOM and HL7, and improve my computer science skills, especially upon Linux, Apache, MySQL, Java2EE.
