ABOUT DAVIDE BARILLARI

Davide Barillari is a certified Mainframe Security Architect, with a distinctive expertise on Cryptography and Quantum technologies. Davide has been with IBM for over 17 years as z/OS Specialist (IBM Global Technical Support) and as senior class-instructor on zSeries Architecture (IBM Learning Services). Between 2007 and 2013 Davide provided consultancy services on banking customers as experienced senior Specialist on WebSphere Application Server for z/OS, before carrying out an institutional public mandate for two legislatures. Davide was nominated NetXplorateur of the year 2008 by French Senate. Since 2011 is IBM certified at Senior level into Product Services profession and certified as Level 1 experienced IT Specialist by IBM Profession Office AITS. He received the Leadership Award in 2014 by Swiss School of Management and the Cancer Policy Award in 2019 by Italian Senate. Since 2021 is working for Kyndryl. Assessing his cybersecurity competence, Davide obtained in 2023 the CompTIA Security+ certification. As Modern Mainframe Advocate (expert level) and Mainframe Modern Skill Practitioner, he matured a specifical knowledge of z/OS security architecture and solutions, supporting mainframe customers in the financial sector. He is actually a member of Kyndryl Quantum Services and Consulting Team, developing the Quantum Service Computing model: Quantum Readiness Roadmap for financial customers, Post-Quantum Cryptography and QCaaS hybrid infrastructures. Last projects 2024/2025: engaged as Project Technical Leader and Solution Architect in Kyndryl Mainframe Security Maturity Assessments for 3 national banks and 2 clients in delivery and transportation sectors, Integration Architect in a 1-year migration project for a international financial client. Since 2025 Davide is a Solution Architect certified by OpenGroup, and a Security Architect certified by Kyndryl. Actually, in the role of Play Owner of Growth Play #1 Mainframe Security, he is supporting clients to develop Mainframe Security Services (security maturity assessments, threat intelligence, advanced z/OS security solutions), providing also pre-sales consultancy for international customers.
