Technologist and influencer specializing in promoting software excellence through Quality Assurance, Usability, planning, and collaboration with all levels of the business (from user/stakeholders to development engineers). Specialties: Agile and Scrum software development and team practices, mobile solutions, Linux systems (RHEL, Suse), Design Thinking, open source collaboration, business social networks, workplace enrichment, leadership and communications coaching.    Elected Board member for the HOA overseeing nearly 650 townhouse and single-family homes in South Durham, North Carolina. Board members are elected from each community at annual open meetings. As a Board member I\'ve served as President (2019), Vice President (2010, 2017, 2018), Treasurer (2012). Our capital reserves exceed $1M. As president and former treasurer, I am responsible for the safe and productive investment of our reserves. I contribute technical expertise (community pool wi-fi hotspot, web site, issue tracking software). We review and approve annual budgets for each community and \"master\" community (common expenses). Directors attend hearings for homeowner complaints and issues. I generate and contribute to formal communications to the community about HOA activities and concerns.
