About David Bridges
As a senior and Dean\'s List student at the University of Connecticut, I am working toward obtaining a degree in Psychological Sciences and Human Development and Family Sciences. After earning my Bachelor\'s degree, I plan to attend graduate school to pursue a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree, which will provide me with the clinical training and experience necessary to provide patient-centered psychological care.At UConn, I have held several leadership positions on campus. I am currently a Senior Resident Assistant, supporting and guiding other RAs as they navigate challenges in their roles. I am also a campus tour guide and an active member of the Psychology Club and the Psi Chi Honors Society. Outside of UConn, this past summer I worked as a summer camp counselor for children with a diverse range of disabilities. In this role, I facilitated inclusive activities for all of the campers and effectively responded to their needs in emergency situations. These experiences, combined with the skills I will develop in a PsyD program, will guide me toward my long-term goal of becoming a child psychologist.
