ABOUT DAVID BILLSON
The only constant is change.\"- Heraclitus. If we accept that change is inevitable in our organizations, teams, and communities, then I believe we should be purposeful about how we navigate it. As a serial entrepreneur, I\'ve co-founded several organizations to solve unique gaps in the communities I serve—and occasionally worn a Star Wars tie while doing it (yes, that made it into my Fanshawe convocation speech). My journey started in technology as a software developer, but my passion evolved toward storytelling and using communication to build stronger ecosystems. Through rTraction, which I\'ve led as CEO since 2001, I\'ve gained experience bridging technical solutions with human connection. We became London\'s first Certified B Corporation in 2016, because like many B Corp leaders, I believe the future belongs to purpose-led companies using business as a force for good. These days, you\'ll find me serving on the Libro Credit Union Board of Directors, having recently received an honourary diploma from Fanshawe College, and continuing to invest in London\'s entrepreneurial ecosystem through RHA Ventures. I\'ve been fortunate to receive recognition including IABC\'s Outstanding Communicator Award and being part of London\'s inaugural Top 20 Under 40, but what energizes me most is the work itself—whether that\'s mobilizing a community to save a theatre production (hello, Prom Queen fundraising campaign) or collecting untold regional stories through the #LdnOnt podcast.I\'m always looking for opportunities to help organizations lead and communicate more effectively. After all, as Margaret Mead said,\"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it\'s the only thing that ever has.\"
