I’m David. For the last eight years, I led Harkn — a live, continuous listening platform built to surface what usually stays hidden inside organisations. We helped companies hear more of what mattered: how people were really experiencing work, leadership, change, and each other. Harkn worked. Just not commercially. So we closed — but the lessons we learned still matter. Now, I\'m writing Shift — a book shaped by what Harkn revealed about leadership, voice, and the future of work. Not theory. Not slogans. Just the difficult truths — and the better ways forward. Before Harkn, I spent 20 years in management consulting, leadership advisory, and strategy. Alongside my work, I serve as a Director and Trustee of The Churn Project, a community charity focused on reducing isolation and improving well-being in Cirencester.
