About David Falk

Greetings! I am a Pittsburgh-based Tech Lead for McDonald\'s and a UChicago MBA grad.I began my career teaching high school math and computer science before joining Northrop Grumman’s Pathways development program. This consisted of three one-year rotations in different disciplines (systems engineering, quality engineering, and data analytics), which gave me a well-rounded perspective on the cross-functional collaboration necessary for product and program success. Next, I joined True Group, Inc. where I was a consultant on Workflow Automation and Reporting for the McDonald\'s Restaurant Technology and Product Engineering Operations team. After that, I joined the Restaurant Product Engineering team at McDonald\'s as a Senior Technical Product Manager where I led new feature development squads as well as supported international market adoption for Point of Sale enhancements. Most recently, I was promoted to a Senior Manager, Tech Lead position where I am diving deeper into solution design and architecture for our Point of Sale new feature development squads. I am passionate about increasing opportunities for under-represented groups in STEM fields, and have held multiple leadership positions within LGBTQ non-profits and employee resource groups. I also have my Pennsylvania Level I teaching certification in Math (grades 7-12) and French (K-12), and am passionate about making math, coding, and language learning more accessible. In my spare time, I enjoy competing in chess tournaments, playing Nintendo games, and learning new languages!
