About David Battel

Over the past 2 years, I enrolled in evening classes to achieve my long-held goal of earning an MBA degree. I considered doing this concurrently while at Iowa State, but opted to get some work experience first and then return to the classroom as I believed that would be more valuable. I\'m pleased to share that I graduated with my MBA in December 2025 from the University of St. Thomas here in Houston!At Anheuser-Busch, I am currently the Houston Brewery Planning Execution Manager, where I am responsible for everything in the production plan for the next 16 weeks. In this role, I work closely with other teams such as our corporate Supply Network Planning team and our local Brewing and Packaging departments to optimize the production plan thru cost minimization. Prior to this, I\'ve held responsibilities as the Senior Supply Chain Manager, Planning Business Process Manager, Warehouse Group Manager, and Operations Group Manager.In May 2017, I graduated cum laude with my bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Iowa State University. During my undergrad years, I was actively involved in my fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, holding multiple committee chair/officer positions including Treasurer, where I managed our budget.With my industrial engineering degree, I received a wide range of classroom, laboratory, and industry experience in the focus areas of manufacturing, operations research, engineering management, and human factors. I further got to explore different fields and areas of research through attending the Deming Conference, the ASQ World Conference on Quality and Improvement, and the IISE Annual Conference.
