About David Rendon

My name is David Rendon and I am a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Construction Engineering. I was born in Dallas Texas and have lived in many different cities in Texas. Since construction and architecture are growing quickly in Texas, I have grown up seeing a lot of the new construction areas throughout Texas and have grown fascinated with buildings, especially in a residential setting. My goal in terms of schooling is to become either an engineer with a focus on construction engineering or an architect or even both as long as I get to be involved in the building and designing process of structures. At the moment I am working towards a Bachelors degree in Construction Engineering Technology and a Masters degree in Construction Management, but eventually I would like to get a Bachelors degree in Architecture. My long term goal is to design and manage the building process of residential buildings. Ideally I would like a job in the construction or architecture field however anything engineering oriented I would be happy to learn and grow in. I\'ve done a little bit of mechanical and industrial engineering in high school and enjoyed building things in general. The design portion of engineering, especially CAD design was very interesting to me and is something I would be more than willing to dive further into as well.
