About David Archibald
The movie \"Hackers\" was my inspiration as a kid. I used to take apart my computer to figure out how the components worked. I wanted to learn everything I could about computers, networks, and security, so I could one day \"hack the Gibson\" and have a cool handle like Zero Cool or Cereal Killer.Well, I never got a cool handle, and I still want to \"hack the Gibson\" one day. In the meantime, I help companies identify their risk and build/improve their cybersecurity programs. In a strait-talking professional manner, I work with and advise the C-suite to help them understand their organization\'s security posture and address security risks.Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with and build exceptional teams. I attribute my success to a mentor that I had as a private in the Army. SSG Bryant told me,\"Pvt. Archibald, I don\'t care where you go in your career. Remember one thing, take care of your troops, and they will take care of you!\" I try to live up to those words every day.Current projects I am working on and researching: Building out my IoT hacking lab and improving my knowledge of hardware and firmware. Researching and working with companies to bring professional cybersecurity services to startups and small companies that may not have the budget for these services.
