About David Mora

A seasoned and dedicated professional in the higher education arena. David Mora chose to work in higher education because of the opportunity it presents to make the greatest impact in young adults’ lives – to maximize their potential for personal development and career satisfaction. David joined Stony Brook University in 2021 and currently serves as Associate Director for Employer Engagement at the SBU Career Center where his focus is on developing impactful opportunities to connect employers with Stony Brook talent. His leadership ensures all recruiting channels, in-person and virtual, are maximized in order to advance the hiring goals of all constituents. Prior to Stony Brook, he was an assistant director at the UCLA Career Center. With 20+ years of experience working in top educational institutions, he brings an intricate understanding of higher education, student development, and constituent services which produce lasting results. Outside of higher education, David is a photographer and artist with a special focus on dog portraiture. A significant portion of his portfolio is the result of volunteer services offered to animal rescue organizations during his time in Los Angeles.
