ABOUT DAVID ALMOND
The past few decades have given me the opportunity to work in some stellar organizations. With the long-term effects of the pandemic continuing to unfold, what is certain is that we will continue to see changes to how we live and work.In late 2019, I returned to my home city and province to serve as Executive Director, Information Technology for another strong enterprise. I’m happy to have brought the experience and knowledge I’ve picked up from brand name companies to Alberta Innovates and the province of Alberta. I’m proud of the contributions I\'ve made to the organization and to the province since my return. A little more than a year ago I moved to MacEwan University as their new Associate VP Information Services and CIO on an interim basis. I\'m very pleased to say that I am now a permanent member of their staff, bringing my skills, passion and experience to another outstanding organization. I\'m very happy to continue the work I\'ve started. My strengths in IT leadership and transformational change will be tested as we all navigate towards the future. I’m also looking to build new skills as I collaborate with colleagues with talents in domains new to me.
