ABOUT DAVID ALEXANDER

With over 25 years of leadership experience across Operational Delivery, Business Change, and IT Delivery, I’ve built a career focused on driving transformation that enhances services for colleagues, customers, and communities.Throughout my career in the public sector, I’ve led major digital delivery initiatives that modernised how millions of people access essential services - introducing smarter ways of working, achieving multimillion-pound efficiencies through innovative service design, and delivering large-scale technology rollouts and digital capability programmes for tens of thousands of colleagues. My progression from Team Leader to Senior Operations Manager and Digital Lead saw me oversee major IT transitions, workplace transformations, and the growth of a thriving digital ambassador network that fostered cultural and behavioural change.In my current role within the consulting and professional services sector, I lead delivery across multiple national programmes in health and public service, managing complex portfolios and ensuring outcomes align with strategic priorities. I’ve strengthened governance, enhanced transparency, and delivered initiatives in sustainability, workforce wellbeing, and digital innovation - including scaling successful pilots into multi-year transformation programmes. Alongside this, I lead community and social impact initiatives across Scotland, driving volunteering, sustainability, and social mobility efforts that have supported thousands of young people into positive futures.I’m passionate about fostering inclusion and diversity, advancing sustainability, and creating opportunities that deliver lasting community impact. Based in Roslin, with Newcastle and London as my second homes, I balance my professional commitments with being a proud father of four - spending time outdoors and exploring new places together.
