I am a senior leader with demonstrated ability to drive shareholder value through strategic leadership and the delivery of complex, multi-billion-dollar corporate development transactions (>$50bn delivered). I have built my career, from a strong technical and commercial foundation primarily with major international oil companies, through progressive organizational responsibility and business delivery across a range of domestic and global jurisdictions, and traversing the oil and gas value chain from the Upstream through to the Downstream. I now am seeking an executive or board role with a progressive, internationally oriented energy company that embraces the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition. As a corporate development executive, I play a leadership role within the C-suite and board in developing corporate strategy; making sure that all corporate and business development activities are aligned with the strategic intent; driving high-quality, well assured and timely delivery; and building effective and sustainable organizational capability to underpin consistent high performance. Corporate and business development is an integrative function that requires the development of high-performing cross-functional teams that work collaboratively within the company and with counterparties to identify, evaluate, originate, negotiate and ultimately deliver new opportunities. By my nature and with my diverse background, I instinctively lead and work in an integrative and collaborative manner. Done well, corporate development finds and creates opportunity from ambiguity. Across my career, I have had the good fortune to live in four different countries and to do business in countries across North and South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. I have a strong international orientation and inevitably see the economies of the world becoming evermore interdependent and believe it is important to participate in this interdependency.
